My Approach

I trained in New York City and London and have been helping people for the past 20 years.
Along with my individual practice, I have worked in several NHS IAPT services including SLAM and CNWL. I have also worked in tandem with The Grenfell Health and Wellbeing Service team and 4 years as part of the counselling team at the Terrence Higgins Trust.
ideas about therapy
I don’t know anyone who hasn’t gone through a period of difficulty or feelings of isolation, depression or stress in their life. Often counselling/psychotherapy can be extremely beneficial in helping to make sense of and learn more about ourselves in the world.
I always feel moved to be with someone when they begin to learn more about themselves and question their internal dialogues. It’s a privilege to be with someone as they begin to come to terms with what their experience in the world has brought to them. I aim to provide an environment that is safe, confidential and secure. The effort is to create a space to talk about the things you may not have ever felt comfortable speaking about with anyone. A big part of my role is to remain respectful, empathetic and non-judgmental. Here we are better able to “unpick” the how, where and why some of our thinking and feelings have formed. I believe this occurs from the intimate, contained nature of the therapeutic relationship
