My Approach

With the aim of reducing your pain and anxiety, talking about what you are experiencing can help to restore your sense of wellbeing.

As a therapist, I provide a non-judgemental, safe and confidential space where you can talk openly about your feelings and where together we can explore ways to find better understanding and wellbeing. I use a number of recognised approaches tailored to suit your preference or individual needs.

I work with adults (over 18 years of age) who have experienced issues including stress, anxiety, depression, addictions, eating disorders, self-harm, abuse, neglect, shame, grief, anger and relationship difficulties.

About Me

I am an integrative psychotherapist with over a decade's experience in working with people with a range of issues.

Being an integrative therapist means I draw on different theoretical models into the way I work with you, which include psychodynamic, transpersonal, neuroscience and creative approaches helping us think together about your experiences. As a trauma informed practitioner I work with awareness of trauma and its impact on the body.

With a background as a communications consultant, I have worked in high pressure environments and understand the real-life challenges of the workplace which can trigger anxiety, depression and addictive behaviours. With an understanding of the professional world I can support you with your career challenges and development.

I work with

  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Anxiety is commonplace, yet understanding our anxieties can vary. The roots of anxiety may be different from person to person. When anxiety is effecting the quality of your life, it can be helpful to see where it stems from so the feelings diminish.
Receiving a diagnosis of cancer, or any life-limiting condition, may be extremely shocking. It is as if our whole world has changed overnight. This shock impacts the whole family who may also need support. It can be important to have a confidential space and a trusted person to support us with the emotional journey of cancer. With a background in the cancer healthcare community and experience of working creatively with cancer patients, I support people whose lives are impacted by cancer.
Sexual abuse can have a devastating impact. I have supported many clients to slowly work through the impact of rape and sexual abuse. I've supported many survivors to give voice to their experiences through the Survivors' Voices Project for the Charity One in Four.
