Currently, due to Covid-19 social distancing measures, I'm providing online and telephone therapy only.
To gain a better understanding of yourself and others and to identify and work towards things that you want to change, I offer a safe and confidential space for you to explore the issues you are struggling with. My approach is integrative which means I draw on various therapeutic models and techniques relevant to my clients' needs. I will work with you collaboratively and sensitively on issues that have been triggered by recent events or issues that are long-standing.
I work with clients presenting with a range of psychological and mental health difficulties, including depression, anxiety, relationship problems and bereavement. I have a special interest in anxiety problems and related disorders, for example Generalised Anxiety Disorder (GAD), delivering therapeutic interventions underpinned by psychodynamic theory.
I trained and qualified as a psychotherapist and psychotherapeutic counsellor at The Northern Guild - Psychotherapy & Counselling in Newcastle, UK. I'm a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the UKCP Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College (HIPC).
I receive regular clinical supervision from a UKCP-registered psychotherapist and I am committed to my continuous professional development and guided by the ethical frameworks for good practice set out by the UKCP.
I have worked with clients in primary care, community wellbeing and bereavement services, and in private practice. I work from Saltburn Wellbeing Centre privately by appointment.
