My Approach

I offer a warm containing space where I encourage client's to co-create their sessions, ensuring they receive therapy tailored to their own individual needs. I am client led, and will then offer gentle interventions to help facilitate the shift or change a client is looking for. I am happy to offer more challenge if client's express being stuck or wanting to work more deeply. I have been told I have a very calming presence and invite client's to share freely, without fear of judgement. The work we do within the sessions, can then help transfer to relationships in the outside world and I can support and guide client's to increase their self awareness, gain reflective skills along with increase their coping mechanisms.

About Me

I am a UKCP Registered Integrative Psychotherapist and a HCPC Registered Arts Psychotherapist. This enables me to offer many different ways of working to best facilitate change to each individual. I can offer traditional talk therapy, along with somatic body work and creative mediums. I am experienced at both short and long term therapy for a wide array of different symptoms or presentations. I have lived experience of Chronic Health Conditions and Disability and clinical experience within therapy. This helped me to specialise in Service Related Mental Health Conditions with both Military Veterans and Serving Police Officers. I have experience of supporting people through workbased stress and relational issues, including PTSD and Complex PTSD, depression, anxiety, loss and bereavement (specially trained in Covid-19 Bereavement).

  • Companies
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have undertaken training specific to bereavement during Covid-19 and the complexities to grieving which limitations brought about and continue to have an altered effect upon that grieving process. I also have worked with and understand grieving for other losses in life, this could be a loss of physical ability, loss of a relationship or career etc.
I have experience supporting Macmillan Cancer patients to better understand their experience and to decrease anxiety and increase coping mechanisms during life changing treatment. I offer the support and containment needed during this difficult time.
I have both lived experience and clinical experience of Chronic Illness and Disability. This has helped me to support a wide array of people from different backgrounds and at different stages of illness, from pre-diagnosis, post-diagnosis and treatment. It has also led me to have experience in end of life and anticipated grief.
I have experience of supporting Military Veterans and Serving Police officers with PTSD and workbased stress, anxiety and depression. I can teach new coping mechanisms to use at times of dysregulation.
I can help support clients to better understand the relationship they have with themselves, how this has been formed by past relationships and how it may still trigger or be influenced by current or future relationships.
