I am a Gestalt Psychotherapist but I also have training and experience in working with CBT and Integrative therapies. My background is in Nursing and Midwifery as well as in Higher Education where I now teach Counselling and Communication skills.
I have extensive experience within the NHS as well as in Primary Care and in the Voluntary Sector working with organisations specialising in bereavement and loss, anxiety and depression, HIV/AIDS, violence, relationships, substance abuse, and children. I also work creatively with art and use relaxation and minfulness in my practice when relevant.
I facilitate supervision groups and one to one supervision for trainees and qualified practitioners.
I am currently researching the concept of personal development at doctoral level.
I work with an open mind, acceptance, a sense of humour and collaboration with the client at every step of the therapeutic process.
