I have been a UKCP Registered Psychotherapist since qualifying as a Transactional Analyst in 2002. I have practiced therapy in a wide range of contexts including within Primary Care as a GP counsellor (with addiction specialism) and most recently within the NHS as a Highly Specialist Psychotherapist (from 2006-2018). I now focus on my private practice based in Whitstable, Kent, where I practice one to one, couples and group psychotherapy.
In my work as a Humanistic-psychodynamic practitioner I have gathered extensive experience in working with people who present with many different emotional and psychological difficulties, such as problematic relationships, sadness and loss, anxiety, depression, trauma and addiction concerns.
Emotional and psychological difficulties can become debilitating to the point they can impair the quality of our every day life. Psychotherapy provides a space in which experiences and difficult feelings can be sensitively thought about, and where you can feel heard and understood. This experience ideally leads to greater self-awareness, to better understanding of your personal relationships, and to an understanding of the psychological patterns which underlie your presenting symptoms.
If you would like to talk through your concerns in a private confidential setting you can arrange an initial consultation, and then from this take the time you need to consider if you want to proceed.
To arrange an appointment please telephone or send me an email with your contact details. I will then contact you at my earliest convenience.
I am also a UKCP registered Clinical Supervisor and offer one to one and group clinical supervision to psychotherapists, counsellors, clinical/counselling psychologists and other related health professionals.
In particular circumstances I am willing to offer clinical supervision online using VSee or Skype
I am a registered Psychotherapist with various medical providers including BUPA, AXA PPP, WPA and VITALITY.
