Professor Brett Kahr offers classical psychoanalytical psychotherapy on an open-ended basis, designed to facilitate deep-seated characterological change for individuals and couples.
Professor Brett Kahr has worked in the mental health profession for over forty years. He is Senior Fellow at the Tavistock Institute of Medical Psychology in London and, also, Visiting Professor of Psychoanalysis and Mental Health at Regent's University London. A Consultant in Psychology at The Bowlby Centre and, also, a Constant Psychotherapist at The Balint Consultancy, he has worked with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy since its foundation in 1993 and has served on its Board of Trustees and, also, as its Special Media Adviser. Formerly Resident Psychotherapist at the British Broadcasting Corporation, he consults widely to the media. He is the author of many books on a range of psychological topics, including, "Bombs in the Consulting Room: Surviving Psychological Shrapnel" and "Dangerous Lunatics: Trauma, Criminality, and Forensic Psychotherapy", as well as books for students, including "Tea with Winnicott", "Coffee with Freud", and "How to Flourish as a Psychotherapist".
