About Me

Hello, my name is Bobby. I am a fully qualified Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered with the BACP and UKCP. For many life and emotions can feel like a tangled mess of uncertainty and miss-direction. Located in Solihull, Serenity Psychotherapy offers a safe, welcoming, confidential space which contributes to supporting you through these difficulties. We offer short or long term Counselling and Psychotherapy for Adults. (We are a wheel chair accessible service.)

As a therapist here, I am experienced in working with stress, anxiety, depression, trauma and low self-esteem. My professional background has been in working with Autistic young adults with non-verbal communication.

My approach combines different techniques associated with Person Centred Therapy and Transactional Analysis. I focus on the current difficulties a person is experiencing and listen to your problems. Through this I can support you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your difficulties.

I am particularly interested in working with clients with Chronic Illness, such as Fibromyalgia and Myalgic Encephalomyelitis, with the approach to supporting clients with the debilitating and isolating effects that illness’s such as these can have on a person’s wellbeing and identity. My professional background has been in working with Autistic young adults with non-verbal communication and I continue to work in this field alongside my work as a Therapist.

MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy, Newman University (in progress, final year)
Dip. Integrative Counselling Psychotherapy
BA Psychology and Counselling
NVQ L3 Health and Social Care

I offer an Integrative approach to therapy which involves a combination of several therapeutic techniques associated with Humanistic approaches.

The approach used, focuses on the relationship between you and your therapist (the therapeutic relationship), as this is often an avenue into understanding your difficulties and gaining an in depth understanding of who you are as an individual.

This approach requires your therapist to take time to listen to you and your difficulties and strive to build a strong therapeutic relationship between you, in order to build trust and support.
