My approach is based on your needs and dependent on how you are enabled to create the changes you want

About Me

I have been working with children and families for 20 years.
I have worked in the NHS, Local Authorities, and also developed my own private practice as a therapist, supervisor, trainer and consultant.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Couple relationships are difficult within an ever-changing world. Conflict, betral, loss, illness, retiring, life cycle transition, physical illness, etc may be experienced by an individual, but the couple dynamic may need support and a place to heal. I work in variety of ways with couples, sometimes we start with individual sessions and sometimes we start with the couple work and then individual work. However the focus for all the sessions is on the relationship
I have I have a special interest in working with adoption, fostering or looked after children. I offer a holistic and thoughtful approach to working with trauma and pain within the context of relationships I have a lot of experience working with parent and child conflict and difficulties within generational relationships
The systemic training that I have undertaken, and now lecture in, gives context to issues of power and privilege. In my private practice, as well as my lecturing, supervision, consultations and therapy, I attend to issues of equality and explore how power is contextual. I am an active member of the systemic and family therapy training cohort who is looking at de-colonising training and practice. I hope the space I offer reflects my commitment to and believes about equality and equity

Sometimes those crises results in behavioural or emotional changes, and we can find it hard to discuss what we feel or think and we can continue in unhelpful patterns of communication and stuckness I can help with this and offer a safe space for you and your those you are in conflict with to come together and discuses emotional, physical, sexual and situational difficulties.
I have a wide range of supervision experience and train supervisor at IFT, on the qualifying AFT course. I really enjoy offering supervision and the joint learning created by conversation between myself and my supervisees.
