As a Gestalt therapist, I aim to provide a safe and supportive space in which an authentic dialogue and relationship with clients can develop.
I strive to remain curious, respectful and to have a non-judgmental approach to their experience of being in the world.
I can support my clients on issues such as anxiety, depression, addictions, trauma and abuse.
I have experience of working within NHS settings on a short term basis as well as on longer term with private clients. I have also worked in the corporate world as a trainer and consultant and I can relate to the challenges of operating in busy environments which may allow little space for vulnerability and authentic relationships.
I aspire to support my clients to identify their needs and how to best meet them by deepening awareness of their sense of self and worth.
At the beginning of our work, we will inquire into the expectations and aims of therapy which the client wishes to focus on. During our work we may look into any unfinished business and historic relational templates which can affect the present and re-enact painful patterns.
By exploring embodied and cognitive processes in the here and now within the safe boundaries of therapy, clients can gain awareness of their own processes and experiment with new ones. I firmly believe in the sense of empowerment that self-awareness can lead to.
As a therapist, I feel honoured and humbled by the opportunity of being part of my client's life journey.
