I offer psychotherapy and counselling on a variety of presenting issues including stress, anxiety and panic, shame, depression, work related difficulties and burnout, loss and bereavement, as well as broader issues such as loss of identity, self-esteem and life transitions.
Trained in Integrative Transpersonal Psychotherapy, I draw on a range of approaches – Jungian, gestalt, somatic and attachment theory depending on your needs at various points in the process. This may include exploring the past and its impact on today, working creatively with the unconscious, or finding ways to live through some of the existential challenges of ‘being human’. I work relationally and respectfully to explore what symptoms might mean for your life experience and future direction.
Alongside my private psychotherapy practice, I am a tutor on the Counselling Diploma at Re-Vision Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy. I also have a particular interest in working with shame, traumatic bereavement and with life transitions.
I work with clients weekly in 50 minute sessions, in open ended, long term and short term contexts.
If you would like to find out more about my approach send me an email and we can arrange an initial session to talk about what brings you to therapy and what some of your hopes may be for the process.
Feeling comfortable with your therapist is a big part of getting started- an initial session is a chance for you to see if we are a ‘good fit’ and there’s no obligation to commit to further sessions at that time.
