I am a fully accredited psychotherapist with an MSc from the Metanoia Institute in London. I have experience working with a wide range of psychological and emotional issues, but I am particularly interested in working with clients who are looking to cultivate a greater awareness of their relationships with other people and themselves.
HOW I WORK
I work using a present centred, relational approach to psychotherapy. This means that although I am interested in people’s childhoods, I do not believe that talking about the past and making links with the present is enough to effect lasting therapeutic change. Instead I believe that in addition to reflecting on past experiences, attention must also be paid to the present moment as it unfolds between the therapist and the client.
I have a practice 10 minutes walk from London Bridge station where I provide one-to-one therapy for adults. I work with clients on a weekly basis and I charge £50 per session. At our first session, we can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, how we might work together and your hopes and expectations for our work. Should you decide to continue, I usually suggest starting with at least 8 sessions, at the end of which we would have a review. For some people this will be enough, and for others they may wish to continue and go deeper into self exploration and relational insights. My advice to clients looking for a therapist is to find someone you feel at ease with, who you get the sense of being able to trust and build a relationship with over time.
