About Me

I am an experienced psychotherapist offering psychotherapy and supervision. I draw from a diverse range of psychological theories and methods in order to meet the needs of my clients. I have experience working with a wide range of emotional and relational issues. I charge £90 for psychotherapy (£80 concession for trainee therapists) and £75 for supervision.

How I Work

- I combine a supportive, non-judgemental style with being appropriately challenging.
- I help clients to gain insight into themselves and their relationships.
- I offer clients the opportunity to experiment in the present moment with new ways of being in relationships, allowing them to take what they learn in the therapy room into their everyday lives.
- I work collaboratively to empower clients to gain a sense of agency over their lives and relationships.

Practical Details

I run my private practice from a quiet room in Deptford (photo on website: www.tidepsychotherapy.com), a short walk from both New Cross and New Cross Gate stations. Sessions are weekly and can be in-person or online. At our first session, we can discuss your reasons for seeking therapy, how we might work together and your hopes and expectations for our work. My advice to clients looking for a therapist is to find someone you feel at ease with, who you get the sense of being able to trust and build a relationship with over time.

Supervision

I offer supervision for trainees and qualified psychotherapists - individually and in groups. I charge £70 per session. I am a relational supervisor and integrate principles from humanistic theory, relational TA and relational psychoanalysis. I am a fully qualified academic lecturer with a PGCert in Counselling and Psychotherapy in higher education. I am also a qualified supervisor and a PTSTA. I teach at the Metanoia Institute in London.

I trained at the Metanoia Institute, one of the leading clinical and academic institutions for psychotherapy in the UK. I have several years of experience working in the charity sector and as part of a multi-disciplinary mental health team in the NHS.

As a registered member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), I abide by their Ethical Framework for Good Practice; I am also a member of the European Association of Transactional Analysis (EATA) and the International Association of Relational Transactional Analysis (IARTA).
