About Me

I am a highly experienced integrative psychotherapist working with individuals both online and in person. I see therapy as working best within the support of a trusting, collaborative relationship and can offer you a place where you are safe to explore events and feelings from your past and present which are holding you back.

Life can be really tough and having the chance to talk through what is going on for you with a qualified therapist, who offers you their full and undivided attention can be a real opportunity to start feeling more alive and in charge of things.

Starting therapy can be daunting and so in the first instance, I aim to help you feel at ease and supported in telling me about what has led you to seek counselling and psychotherapy. Through the establishment of a a trusting partnership, we would then begin to make sense of your problems together, how you see yourself, the world and your place within it. In working towards discovering more of what is emotionally true for you, the aim is that you develop further inner resources that enable you to think about what, if any, changes you wish to make.

You set the pace in therapy, I am there to act as a guide and work alongside you in your discoveries rather than give advice and be the 'expert'.

In my private practice in Glasgow's Southside, I offer both short-term goal-orientated counselling and more in-depth psychotherapy for adults experiencing a range of emotions affecting their quality of life.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have worked with many clients experiencing the debilitating effects of anxiety. In the first instance, I aim to help people manage their symptoms before exploring the deeper underlying causes.
Depression can be an exhausting and isolating condition. I have much experience in sitting with people during such times and aim to help them understand what's happening to them and slowly find ways to rediscover themselves.
I work from a relational perspective with clients, where I play real importance on the quality of connections with others and crucially, ourselves.
I have worked with transgender clients before and consider myself a gender affirming therapist.
