My Approach

By listening and working with you to gain an understanding of your unique circumstances, I can develop an individual therapy approach that maps psychological theory and practice onto your unique experiences. Treatments can be short-term or long-term, but are always bespoke and designed for the individual. Contact me for a free telephone consultation.

About Me

I have been working as a therapist and counsellor since 2005 and as a supervisor of therapists in practice since 2020. I teach for the National College of Hypnosis and Psychotherapy and lead training workshops on Writer's Block, PTSD and LGBT+ inclusion.

I work with

  • Groups
  • Individuals
  • Private healthcare referrals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Anxiety and depression are two sides of the same coin. Depression may be more widely acknowledged and identifiable, but anxiety is just as limiting and harmful. I can offer a range of therapies and approaches for managing and overcoming anxiety.
Coming to terms with one's own sexuality or gender identity is not always simple and it helps to talk things through in confidence. I have worked with hundreds of LGBT+ individuals - one-to-one, in groups, or as organisations.
I offer supervision for therapists in practice, both individuals and in small groups, either in person or online. Please contact me for details.
As both an educator and a therapist I have worked extensively with people at all stages in education and careers where they needed help to overcome problems with Writer's Block, Public Speaking or achieving their educational goals. The causes of these limiting anxieties are often complex and not immediately obvious, but they can very often can be overcome with a combination of talking therapy and exercises to try at home.
Coming to terms with one's own sexuality or gender identity is not always simple and it helps to talk things through in confidence. I have some experience of working with clients who are questioning their gender identity and can support people on their personal journeys of self-discovery..
