I offer both psychotherapy and supervision from my practices in Exeter and Newton Abbot in Devon.
I have lived, worked and studied in England, Holland, and Germany. Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, I worked for many years as a social worker, counsellor and skills trainer with groups and individuals in the public and private sectors. Among other things, I have 13 years of specialist experience working in the field of addictions, and 5 years in occupational health/ staff support. I am currently employed as a psychotherapist in the NHS, working in the field of Adult Mental Health.
I am an accredited psychotherapist (UKCP registered). I use and have been trained in a variety of approaches and my work is both integrative and relational, with a fairly strong psychodynamic focus. My primary psychotherapy training was in Core Process Psychotherapy. I have also had additional training in NARM; Mentalization Based Treatment; Schema Therapy; Compassion Focused Therapy; (Somatic) Trauma Therapy; Attachment Therapy; Jungian dream-work; Cognitive Therapies (CBT, DBT); Motivational Interviewing; and (psychodynamic) group work.
I am also a HIPC - UKCP Recognised Supervisor & Recognised Training Supervisor. I completed my supervision training with Centre for Supervision and Team Development (CSTD), London & Findhorn.
