My work tends to be emotionally and relationally focused with an analytic emphasis. Whilst I am influenced by Jungian concepts, I work in an integrated way drawing from different models to individually tailor the work to my clients. I am an accredited psychotherapist in Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) and you can read more about this way of working by visiting the Association for Cognitive Analytic Therapy (ACAT) on acat.me.uk. It is a collaborative and pragmatic model which can be used to help people with a wide range of difficulties.
My fees: £95 for face to face 60 minute sessions or £75 for digital 60 minute sessions. Concessions for those on low income or for trainees/students are considered on application.
I am a UKCP accredited Cognitive Analytic Psychotherapist, Trainer and Supervisor, I am also a Chartered Clinical Psychologist and a trained CIC Mindfulness Teacher. I have 20 years experience within the NHS and have predominantly worked with people with severe and enduring mental health difficulties. I have a special interest in relational and emotional difficulties, working with individuals or couples. I am happy to provide digital or face to face therapies and have a private clinic space in Bicester, Oxfordshire.
Choosing a therapist is an important first relational choice and I offer an initial no-fee meeting to discuss the prospect of therapy, to answer any questions about my way of working and for us to decide if we might like to embark on therapy together.
I can be contacted via email: dr.viviennehopkins@gmail.com for initial enquiries.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
