I believe in tailor-made practise for each client where no one fit is for all, and integrate several approaches such as:
Systemic Psychotherapy; Narrative Therapy; Solution Focused and Strength-Based practise; Strategic therapy (Goal based); Somatic Therapy via BCST; Humanistic and Gestalt techniques
I am a family, couples, and adult psychotherapist with a background in Clinical Psychology from Chile, and I am a UKCP and AFT-registered Family Therapist based in London, UK.
Currently, I am working in private practice, with over 10 years of experience. I have considerable experience working at public mental health sectors such as the NHS, specifically in Children and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS).
I have a strong interest in research. I believe in the feedback loop between research and clinical work, and strongly believe that evidence-based practice is essential to delivering effective and impactful therapy. My commitment to enhancing bonds and interpersonal connections is not only a professional mission but also a personal passion.
I have lead Family Therapy Clinic working with the Brief Solution Focused Model, where our team developed innovative triage processes to better align care pathways with the specific needs of families. By focusing on systemic and brief, solution-focused interventions, we effectively promoted positive shifts in family dynamics and goal attainment, significantly reducing waiting times and enhancing the overall well-being of the community.
I am currently a final year student of Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST) at CTET (cranio.co.uk). BCST is a somatic therapy that entails a gentle, noninvasive hands on treatment that supports healing and trauma processing. The therapists touch and presence are key components in creating a sense of safety and capacity to heal from within. The human body is interconnected, both structurally and functionally. This means that one area of your body can affect another, such as the mind, and eventually lead to feeling and functioning better.
Looking ahead, I aspire to offer both Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and Psychotherapy as complementary modalities. Integrating these approaches will enable me to support the dynamic relationship between mind, body, and soul, fostering wellbeing through a holistic and integrative framework.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
