My Approach

I work primarily with academics, parents and highly driven professionals. I believe it is essential to consider emotional difficulties in context, and that by exploring formative relationships and experiences it is possible to reframe guiding psychological structures which have become burdensome or ill-suited. I believe therapy should enable patients to live more fully and freely through the process of coming to terms with the reality of the past and the present. Therapy will engage a patient's strengths and weaknesses and require courage, honesty, vulnerability, accountability and forgiveness. I work with whatever material patients bring to therapy, including relationship difficulties, depression, anxiety, abuse and bereavement.
I work online but only after experience of getting to know the patient in the room first and then when a patient is travelling.
