My Approach

How I work:
In our first session, we’ll take time to get to know each other, so I can understand what you want to achieve through therapy. I listen closely to what you share, making sure I truly understand your perspective. This helps you feel seen and heard, which in turn makes it easier to explore your thoughts and emotions more deeply. Through this process, you’ll become more in tune with your own needs and find the strength to speak up when it matters most.
The person-centered approach I use is built on the core values of empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity. By offering a non-judgmental space, I help you feel truly heard and understood, allowing you to gain clarity on your challenges and strengths. Gestalt therapy encourages present-moment awareness, fostering personal insight and promoting a deeper connection to yourself. Transactional analysis, meanwhile, helps to uncover patterns in communication and behaviour, empowering you to break free from limiting beliefs and take control of your life choices.
If you're ready to begin your therapeutic journey, I’m here to offer guidance, support, and understanding as you navigate life’s challenges.

Practice Description:
I offer therapy in a flexible and accessible format, working online via FaceTime, Zoom, and over the telephone. Many of my clients find this mode of working particularly beneficial, as it removes the constraints of travel and allows them to engage in therapy from the comfort and privacy of their own space. Whether you're at home or on the go, the convenience of online sessions makes it easier to fit therapy into your busy life.

About Me

Hello, I’m Victoria, and I’m a humanistic psychotherapist.
If you are feeling overwhelmed, misunderstood, alone, anxious, or just feel it is time to talk about that thing that has been bothering you, contact me and we can face the difficulty together.
I work with individuals and couples from all walks of life, helping them navigate life’s challenges and gain the clarity they need to move forward. Through therapy, you’ll discover the tools to make choices that feel right for you.
My own life experiences have taught me how to reframe challenges in a way that leads to personal growth and fulfilment—both as a psychotherapist and as an opera singer. Clients often tell me that working with me feels like looking into a mirror, but with a twist: they see parts of themselves they hadn’t noticed before.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

Anxiety has become a common experience for many, often influenced by factors such as relationships, work pressures, self-doubt, or stress. In therapy, I provide a supportive space where we can explore the underlying triggers of anxiety and work together to develop effective strategies for managing it. By understanding your unique experiences, you can build resilience and gain the tools to navigate anxiety with greater confidence and calm.
Grieving the loss of a loved one is a deeply personal experience, and it’s important to have the time and space to process it. In therapy, you can express your feelings and memories without the concern of affecting others who may be going through the same loss. A neutral, supportive environment provides the freedom to explore your emotions, helping you navigate your grief at your own pace and find healing.
Depression can make it feel challenging to find joy or motivation, affecting many areas of life. In therapy, I offer a supportive space where we can explore the underlying causes of your feelings and work together to develop strategies for managing them. By gaining insight and learning new coping tools, you can rediscover a sense of hope, build resilience, and gradually take steps toward a more balanced and fulfilling life.
With my personal experience of living with a disability, I am able to deeply connect with and understand the unique challenges that others face when adjusting to life with a disability. In therapy, I offer a compassionate space to explore these experiences, helping you navigate any obstacles and empowering you to build resilience, confidence, and a sense of agency in your journey.
Relationships can sometimes face challenges when communication becomes unclear or disconnected. In a therapeutic setting, I offer a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings openly. By gaining a deeper understanding of yourself and your needs, you can improve how you communicate with others, fostering healthier, more authentic connections.
