I am an integrative practitioner, meaning that I am familiar with a number of evidence-based theories and techniques and can tailor my approach to what feels most helpful to you. I have particular expertise in psychodynamic and systemic theories and practices.
Hello, welcome, and thank you for taking the time to look at my profile!
Sometimes we know we’re struggling, but we don’t quite know why or what to do about it. We might feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck; struggle in our relationships; or find ourselves repeating patterns that no longer make sense. Sometimes there is no clear explanation at all; we simply know that something needs to change.
I am Veronica, a qualified Psychotherapist and a trainee counselling psychologist in the final stage of my doctoral degree. I work with adults and have particular experience supporting university students and young adults, whom I have worked with since 2016. Additionally, for many years, I have worked with university students in receipt of Disabled Students' Allowance.
I offer both short- and longer-term therapy, depending on what feels appropriate for you and work with people from a range of backgrounds and at different stages of life experiencing a range of difficulties, including anxiety, low mood, stress, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, life transitions and feeling stuck or overwhelmed.
We can explore what has brought you to counselling and work towards developing a better understanding of your experiences, relationships and patterns. I am interested in the person behind the difficulty, rather than simply focusing on a particular symptom or diagnosis.
If something here resonates with you, get in touch. We can have an initial conversation and see whether working together feels right.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
