I'm an integrative psychotherapist. This means that I have knowledge of a number of different types of therapy, and can tailor my approach to best meet my clients' needs. We may look back at your childhood to understand how your ways of being in relationship and your sense of self were formed, or the sessions may be about present day feelings or issues, and managing any areas of difficulty.
Overall my interest is in helping people to deeply know, understand and accept themselves, and in turn to lead the lives they want. I support my clients in working through life’s challenges, and have particular experience in helping with loss, loneliness and relationships.
I firmly believe that therapy should be an experience of kindness and acceptance, and these principles are at the heart of my work.
My training and qualification were at The Minster Centre, a leading institute for integrative psychotherapy. I have a master's degree in integrative psychotherapy and counselling and a diploma in integrative counselling.
Before becoming a psychotherapist I worked for a number of years for a large company. I have a good understanding of the stresses and strains of corporate life and of work within other large organisations, and where relevant can use this understanding to help my clients.
