My Approach

I practice psychodynamic psychotherapy and counselling. Whether you choose counselling or psychotherapy, I adopt a psychoanalytically informed, comprehensive, and integrative approach. Rather than simply addressing surface-level symptoms, we will explore the unconscious processes and early experiences that have shaped your current emotional and relational life. Instead of prescribing advice, I will strive to help you discover your own answers.

--- Counselling vs Psychotherapy

Often people ask “How do I know if I need Counselling or Psychotherapy?”
This is something we can think about together during an initial consultation. Some people come with a clear, time-limited issue; others may realise they want to work at greater intensity. The duration, depth and frequency of therapy can be shaped around your needs.

--- Choosing a Therapist

It’s important to choose a therapist with whom you feel a genuine sense of connection.

Look for someone who is registered with a recognised professional body such as the BPC, UKCP or BACP.

Registration with these organisations indicates that a therapist has completed accredited training, works within a clear ethical framework, receives regular clinical supervision, and is committed to ongoing professional development. It also means there is a professional body in place should any concerns arise.

Psychotherapy is also a deeply personal process. Research consistently shows that the therapeutic relationship matters. Most people find it difficult to share their private thoughts and feelings unless they feel comfortable and at ease. For this reason: It’s important to choose a therapist with whom you feel a genuine sense of connection.

A good therapist often combines warmth, empathy, and approachability with the professionalism, expertise, and appropriate boundaries that come from thorough training.

About Me

I’m a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist, accredited both by the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I offer a confidential and supportive space for self-exploration and growth.

I currently work in private practice with adults and offer in-person, online or telephone counselling or psychotherapy in either English or Greek.

--- Professional Training & Qualifications

I trained at WPF Therapy and at the British Psychotherapy Foundation (BPF), the UK's leading psychotherapy training institutions. Both are accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP), the British Psychoanalytic Council (BPC) and the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). Over a total of 6 years, my training included compulsory personal analysis with a Senior Analyst, academic study in psychoanalytic theory, and extensive supervised clinical work.

I am a registered full member of the following professional bodies and institutions and I adhere to their professional and ethical standards.

- the British Psychoanalytic Council
- the UK Council for Psychotherapy
- the Council for Psychoanalysis and Jungian Analysis College (UKCP)
- the British Psychotherapy Foundation
- the Foundation of Psychotherapy and Counselling.

--- Clinical and Professional Experience

I worked as an Honorary Counsellor in the NHS, specifically with the Community Living Well service under the Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust. This role provided me with valuable experience in delivering psychological therapies to a diverse client base, further enriching my practice.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I lived and worked in senior positions in Europe and the Middle East, experiences that have shaped the perspective I bring to my practice. My years in the corporate world have given me insight into how cultural, societal, and professional pressures can impact one’s sense of self.

Volunteering has been an important part of my journey, from offering support to blind and partially sighted Londoners with the charity BlindAid to helping out in the refugee camps of Lesbos, during the European refugee crisis. These experiences quietly inform the perspective I bring to therapy.
