I provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples or group members wanting to overcome emotional difficulties and free themselves from unhealthy or self-limiting beliefs - leading to empowerment, change and ultimately a better future.
My interest and experience lies in Integrative Transitional Analysis (TA) Psychotherapy which influences the lens I view the world around me. The philosophy within TA, the Bernian concept of the “three-handed position’’ (1972, pp115) of “I’m OK, You’re OK, They’re OK’’ is a core belief at the heart of my work.
My name is Uzma Khan and I’m a UKCP Accredited Integrative Psychotherapist and an IAIP (International Association of Islamic Psychology) Clinical Supervisor. I work within an integrative framework and my passion lies in promoting collective and individual healing through dialogue, meaningful communication and challenging factors of inequality.
My Private Practice is based at the Tower Clinic in Horsforth, Leeds. The Tower Clinic provides a wide range of holistic therapies, counselling and psychotherapy aimed at individual healing and well-being.
Currently I am also the Chair of the Board of Directors at IHSAAN CIC Therapeutic Service (Ihsaan.org.uk) one of the first specialised psychotherapy and counselling services in Britain that provides a holistic integrative service that is language appropriate, culturally, spiritually sensitive and caters to the needs of Muslim clients with mild to moderate mental health difficulties in Bradford/Leeds and West Yorkshire.
Language - Can offer psychotherapy in Urdu.
