Hi, I’m Ursy Ambrose-Simpson and I specialize in working with adolescent and teens as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor working online.
I am dedicated to empowering young people to understand their own brain and experiences of the world, giving them the space to process challenges life might have thrown their way. I help them recognise their strengths and move towards living the life they want. For instance lifting their mood and motivation to overcome the procrastination and low self esteem which can often trip us up in life.
I work with young people between 11 and 25 across England and Scotland within Secondary and Higher Education and am very familiar with the social and academic pressures young people face every day.
I trained at Cambridge University in Integrative Child and Adolescent psychotherapeutic counselling. Many of our experiences at home and school before 18 can continue to impact the way we interact within relationships and perceive ourselves as adults, understanding these and having a safe space to process thoughts and feelings can be hugely beneficial for self-esteem and wellbeing.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
