Hello and welcome, my name is Trudie,
I believe everyone has the potential to grow ,change and heal . I offer a safe, warm nonjudgmental space to enable you to explore the areas of concern. I work in relational way, which means that the relationship built between myself and client becomes the vehicle in which to express and examine issues affecting your life. The work respects your autonomy and empowers you to make informed choices about your life. I use the theories of person centred therapy, gestalt and attachment to explore how you relate to yourself, others and the world. This process can raise your understanding of your relationships with others and yourself, informing your sense of self and how this, change impacts on relationship with others. With increased awareness there is the potential to do things differently change, grow and improve overall well being.
What to expect-
The first session forms an assessment carried out between us where we explore the area of concern . I will use my clinical judgement gained over many years to assess if i feel my skill set is compatible with what you need. The first session is also about building a relationship between us and seeing if we can work together. Following the initial assessment we will agree to a number of sessions with periodic reviews if you wish to proceed.
