Hi - I'm Tim an Integrative Psychotherapist. I hold an MSc in Integrative Psychotherapy from Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute and have 4 years experience of working with clients. I have worked across NHS, charitable and private therapy settings.
Alongside my private practice I work as a Specialist Skills Tutor and Mentor supporting students in Higher Education settings with Mental Health and those diagnosed with ADHD and ASD and am a Mental Health trainer. I have had 10 years of personal therapy myself which I think is important to know about one's therapist. Taking the first steps in starting therapy can feel daunting.
To find out more about me and how I work please visit my website.
My therapeutic approach is founded on warmth, compassion and creating a relationship based on trust. As an Integrative Psychotherapist I draw on a wide range of therapeutic models and theories and recognise each person is different and each therapeutic relationship is unique.
My model of Integration is relational and developmental. I regard the relationship between therapist and client as an important part of the therapeutic process and will be interested in how we are relating. I also believe our earlier experience can shape how we understand ourselves and our relationships and offer useful clues to difficulties and challenges in the present.
Otherwise there is not set pathway for the work. What we explore and how we work together develops as part of the therapy itself.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
