My Approach

Talking and exploring, being heard is part of what makes us human and helps us to find ourselves.
I work with many creative people who have experienced blocks caused by historical trauma, aging populations and people experiencing life changing events. In addition, I work with people experiencing low mood, depression, anxiety and feelings of emptiness.

About Me

My approach is informed by my psychoanalytic training through the Cambridge Society for Psychotherapy, yet I tailor our work together to fit your unique story and experience. I believe that while understanding the past can illuminate the present, what truly matters is how we work collaboratively to nurture positive changes in your life. Each conversation is not just an opportunity to revisit ‘old’ patterns, but to craft new ones—step by careful step.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

This can take so many different forms and can fragment and shatter bleeding into our sense of selfhood and challenging our ability to inhabit our own skins. Our work together might help how to manage rage and find peace in oneself.
Finding our way through attendant mental health issues associated with a significant diagnosis is an arduous process in which we might return to internalized self hatred and shame. A talking therapy can be foundational through diagnoses and the relationship with life changes that this brings.
We all suffer losses which can include those we love and perhaps the things we love to do. This can happen at any time and is life changing. Our changing relationships with loss speaks of our own relationship with our life.
The weight and exhaustion of depression, of low mood can pull everything out of our lives. Our explorations in the shadows of this can be a profound mark of strength which we might come to understand through the processes of a talking therapy, in which we are heard, thought about and seen.
Finding our way back through trauma is a long and slow process in which we try to understandour relationship to the events and look to finding our selves again outside of repetitious, circular and intrusive thoughts.
