Her approach is integrative, informed by psychodynamic, existential, attachment-based, CBD and humanistic approaches. The method she uses, varies according to the individual and the presenting issues. Therapy can support people in becoming more aware of their emotions, thoughts and patterns of behaviour. It can help them learn to manage these and develop deeper self-understanding and live more authentically.
Alongside talking therapy, in her work particularly with children, she uses creative media such as art, sand tray and play. Mindfulness is also used where appropriate. When working with children, parents are often involved through regular meetings, providing opportunities to discuss areas of difficulty and review progress.
