I am an integrative psychotherapist working long and short-term with individual adults. I have extensive experience working with a wide range of issues, and also a specialised interest in depression, low self-esteem, men's issues, life transitions and deep-seated issues which emerge in relationships.
I see therapy as a space to step aside from everyday life where we approach your concerns with curiosity and compassion. And it is by exploring the feelings and experiences you find difficult, where we uncover, come to a new understanding and find a new way of seeing. This process informs how you feel about yourself and how you decide to move forwards.
Being an integrative psychotherapist means I have been schooled in multiple therapeutic modalities. This enables me to adapt the therapy to your unique and individual needs. My main influences are from psychodynamic and relational psychotherapy which view our early experiences and relationships as a foundation for how we experience ourselves and others now as adults and the relational patterns we continue to unconsciously follow.
I have an MA in Advanced Clinical Practice in Psychotherapy and Counselling from The Minster Centre, London, and an Advanced Diploma in Humanistic Counselling from CPPD, London. I am a registered member of both the UCKP and BACP.
I work from consulting rooms in Lewes on Mondays, and from Tuesday to Thursday I work in Brighton and Hove. Please contact me to find out about specific availability.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
