I am a UKCP registered psychotherapist who currently working as a freelance integrative therapist. I have an understanding of many theoretical approaches from which I have trained, including compassion focused approach, person-centred, narrative therapy, CBT, psychodynamic, mindfulness and schema therapy.
I have practised as a independent integrative UKCP registered clinical Psychotherapist for over 15 years, working across a full range of contexts, including NHS health, social care and education (primary and secondary). Additionally I am a registered supervisor (TCSU-L6) clinically supporting practitioners for their client work across a full range of settings.
My specialist area of practice is working with young people, I have achieved the UKCP child marker competency and adults in the areas of anxiety, depression, low self esteem, confidence issues, anger management, self regulation, resilience building, self harm and stress.
I am married with two grown up children and live in the Liverpool area. Prior to training as a clinical pychotherapist in 1999, I worked for 13 years in a local authority social services setting supporting adults with learning and mental health issues.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
