In my work as a Gestalt counsellor, I bring a creative, relational, and embodied approach to supporting your growth. I use myself—my presence, my responses, and my awareness—as an instrument in the therapeutic process. This allows us to explore together how you make contact with yourself, with others, and with the world around you.
I work as a senior Counsellor/Psychotherapist at First Psychology Online. I am a Gestalt therapist with advanced clinical training, having completed a diploma training in Psychotherapy and Counselling at the Edinburgh Gestalt Institute. I have worked in a range of settings including in the UK voluntary sector in counselling and support worker roles, and in private practice. I am also a cook, having worked in an arts centre running a kitchen workshop for adults with learning difficulties. I have a keen interest in travel and has spent time cooking in France as well as volunteering in children's projects around the world including in the favelas of Sao Paulo, Brazil and in rural projects in South Africa. Being part Armenian, i am passionate about difference and diversity.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
