Counselling offers a confidential, non-judgemental space to explore what is bringing you difficulty. I work from an integrative framework — drawing on a range of psychological approaches to meet you where you are, rather than fitting you to a single model.
Together we can deepen your understanding of yourself and your experiences, drawing out strengths and resources you may not yet recognise. I believe growth is possible for everyone — that exploring your past, understanding how it shapes your present, and making choices that move you toward the future can all be part of our work together.
I am a qualified, registered and accredited counsellor with a background across a range of clinical settings. My approach is personalised and works to your pace. I offer a confidential, non-judgemental space where what you bring will be met with care and respect.
Feeling comfortable with your counsellor is one of the most significant factors in successful therapy, which is why I offer a free 30-minute telephone consultation - giving you the opportunity to see how we might work together, and to decide if I'm the right person to support you.
Beyond private practice, my work has extended to voluntary counselling with MIND, Priscilla Bacon Hospice, and The Big C. Each of these roles has deepened my understanding of the human experience - and our remarkable capacity to find meaning and resilience, even in the most difficult of times. My own life experience has given me a particular empathy for those facing life's harder passages - especially those rooted in loss, trauma, and the quieter struggles that can shape how we see ourselves and our place in the world.
Before training as an integrative psychotherapeutic counsellor, my career took a varied path - from working with adults with learning disabilities, where I taught creative arts and supported personal growth, to a career as a photographic agent in London, representing photographers and championing identity, visibility and self-expression in the workplace. Both roles, in their own way, were rooted in supporting people to find their voice, develop confidence and move towards greater autonomy - values that remain at the heart of how I work today.
Our identities, life experiences and the communities we belong to are all part of who we are, and I welcome and honour those differences fully in my work. I bring warmth and authenticity, offering a space that feels welcoming and safe. I believe it is in being truly seen - wholly and without judgement - that healing finds its beginning.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
