My Approach

I am an integrative therapist combining a psychodynamic and person-centred therapeutic approach. I also use art and play in my work with all ages. I have extensive experience of working individually or in groups with children, adolescents and adults in school settings. I apply systemic thinking and promotes early intervention and prevention with the wellbeing of the whole family in mind.

I work with

  • Children and young people
  • Families
  • Groups
  • Individuals

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I have a particular interest in therapeutic interventions for people on the Autism spectrum and challenging the held view that talking therapies may not be suitable for this client group.
As well as wider diversity and intersectionality issues are pertinent topics affecting daily life. It is important to me to create a therapeutic space where such concerns can be brought and thought about safely.
Thinking particularly about the impact of domestic abuse on children and adolescents on their future relationships.
Greater positive change can be achieved for a child if I am also able to work with the parent.
So much of children and young people's behaviour can be understood through the eyes of trauma.
