My approach is rooted in relationship, in the creative space between two people. My foundational training is in Psychosynthesis and I also draw on insights into creative process from the arts and the natural world.
I am psychotherapist with 16 years experience of working with men and women from all walks and stages of life. I offer a caring, creative and confidential space in which to find ways through periods of loss, change and uncertainty. I believe that our suffering has meaning, that we feel disturbed and distressed because essential aspects of ourselves are calling to be healed or expressed. So the 'crack' in our lives which brings us to therapy is also a doorway. Working together we will develop the psychological understanding and creative will to move life forward into its deeper purpose and fulfilment.
I have particular interest and experience in the following areas:
* working with imagination and creative processes
* restoring identity, purpose and direction
* overcoming difficulties with intimacy and relationship
* navigating life transitions such as motherhood, separation, mid-life
* recovery from childhood trauma or wounding
* getting to the root of chronic anxiety or depression
I hold a Masters degree in Psychotherapy from The Institute of Psychosynthesis (validated by Middlesex University) and a Certificate in 'Supervision with Soul' from Re.Vision. I have 16 years experienced as a psychotherapist in private practice and I'm also a Training Therapist working with students at the Psychosynthesis Trust. My book 'Hidden Wonders of the Human Heart - How to See Through Your Sorrow' was published in 2021 and is available online and in all good bookshops.
