My Integrative Psychotherapeutic Approach provides a chance to explore whatever worries or difficulties your life brings.
The Integrative Psychotherapeutic approach utilises the combined approaches of specific approaches to therapy, enabling everyone to be considered for their own personal circumstances and individual needs as well as encompassing social, spiritual, physical, cognitive, and behavioural aspects of the individual effectively.
I will be working in partnership with you to create a safe and non-judgemental environment where you will feel able to talk about your worries. I will utilise my experience of integration to ensure that you achieve the best outcome by using specific approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) to tailor the therapy to your individual needs. My integrative approach also incorporates Theraplay and play therapy techniques which when working with both parents and children can assist in the re-building of difficult relationships.
I have a background in nursery nursing and Social Care before embarking on a career in Integrative Pyschotherapeutic Counselling. During my time as a counsellor I have been a therapeutic lead for a specialist therapeutic children's home working with challenging young people and their families. I have worked in schools and have had my private practice for the last 10 years firstly in Felixstowe and now in Needham Market.
I undertook my BSc (Hons) in Integrative Counselling with Matrix College of Counselling and Pyschotherapy which is affiliated to Middlesex University and am accredited with UKCP. I am also a member of the BPS. I also hold an MSc (Hons) in Mental Health Psychology which I completed with Liverpool University.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
