My Approach

I have online availability only and work with clients worldwide. I am based mainly in Abu Dhabi and London.
Currently completing a specialism in relationship, couples and psychosexual therapy and so can offer sessions at a reduced fee. Please contact me for more information: spbcounselling@gmail.com

I consciously cultivate and provide a private, non-judgemental, open space for you to feel comfortable, heard and able to talk about what is needed. We work at your pace. I listen to what we sometimes can’t find words for but feel. There are times in life where we cannot continue as we are. Exploring what may be impacting you, in a confidential session can provide a useful support.

Individual Therapy
Our work may involve exploring your past and how it’s shaped who you are today, while also focusing on what’s useful and realistic for you right now. We'll make space to process emotions, understand patterns, build resilience, and work towards acceptance and change—always at a pace that feels right for you.
We consider identity, family dynamics, cultural background, and how you relate to yourself and others. I’m interested in how you cope, the beliefs you carry, and the systems you’re part of.

Psychosexual and Relationship Therapy
I work holistically and respectfully with individuals and couples to explore a wide range of sexual and relational concerns. These may include: changes in desire, pain during sex, communication difficulties, infidelity, relationship conflict, erectile or ejaculatory issues, or navigating the impact of family or cultural expectations.
We’ll take into account biological, psychological, relational, spiritual, and environmental factors to understand the full picture and find a path that feels right for you.

I engage with clients from a range of communities and backgrounds, around topics such as: work issues, life change, intergenerational patterns and abuse, narcissism, anxiety, depression, confidence and self-worth, religion and life choices, CPTSD, identity and sexuality exploration, grief and loss, shame, perfectionism, culture and race, neglect, early childhood trauma, expat and immigration experience and stress.

Any questions, please email me at: spbcounselling@gmail.com

About Me

I'm a caring and engaged integrative therapist who believes in building an open, thoughtful and trusting therapy relationship for meaningful work. I’ll listen carefully and compassionately, and challenge you when it’s helpful. Together, we create a space where you feel able to explore, reflect, and express yourself—mind and body included. I bring humour, curiosity, and openness into the room because therapy is, at its heart, two humans meeting to explore some of the most personal and important aspects of life; whilst considering what does living with it all mean.

As a relational integrative therapist, I draw from a range of contemporary and traditional approaches—including attachment theory, psychodynamic thinking, body-mind connection, and trauma-informed practices. Therapy with me is collaborative and adaptable; I tailor my approach to your needs and goals, always keeping what’s meaningful to you at the centre of our work.

Special Interests

Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.

I work from a perspective of thinking about impact, dynamics, how something felt for you and your version of events. We think curiously together and allow words to form for experiences that may have been too hard to do before. To think together and find a way forward, that feels right for you.
I have an interest in relationships in our lives. Relationships starting with yourself, thinking about how you think, what beliefs you have and how treat yourself. I am curious and include all aspects of identity, such as generational, familial, cultural, age, gender, sexuality, race, disability, body and more. I use an attachment lens and relational way of working when considering how your relationships with community, family, romantic, friends and work etc form, are going and feel. We think, openly, deeply and constructively about what might be happening in these relationships, are there patterns/repetitions and where this may be located in your story. Futhermore, I am completing a training is psychosexual and relationship therapy which means I work with psychosexual issues such as pain during sex, erectile issues and arousal changes. Also with relationship conflicts, difficulties, pre-marriage explorations and separation.
I work with trauma using an integration of models, dependent on what you want and what is currently happening. I will include body and mind in our sessions. We work at a pace that is within tolerance and make sense of things together.
