I work collaboratively and integratively using a range of therapeutic approaches such as Attachment and Polyvagal Theory, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Mindfulness-Based Approaches, Psychoeducation, and Transactional Analysis - all with a trauma-informed focus. I have specialist training in working therapeutically with autistic and ADHD adults.
I prioritise creating a safe and non-judgmental space where you can explore your experiences. We'll work together to understand your emotions, address unhelpful patterns, rebuild self-trust, set boundaries that protect your wellbeing, and cultivate genuine self-acceptance.
At the heart of my work is an understanding of how our nervous system, attachment patterns, and past experiences shape present-day struggles. I'm trauma-informed, which means I'm aware of the complex impact of trauma on a person's distress and how it shapes their efforts to copy – whether through food, alcohol, overworking, or other coping strategies. When trauma or emotional pain is present, I explore it gently and collaboratively, attending to your experiences with care and respect, without pathologizing who you are.
Some clients benefit most from practical tools and strategies, while others need space to explore and make sense of their experiences - and many benefit from both. Through our work together, you'll gain greater clarity about yourself and your needs, develop effective coping strategies, and create meaningful change that works for you in everyday life.
I'm a down-to-earth, compassionate psychotherapist with 20 years' experience supporting adults through emotional, relational, and mental health challenges across private practice, voluntary services, and NHS settings.
As a person and therapist, I'm curious, honest, and kind. I offer a safe space where you can breathe, slow down, and explore your experiences without pressure to perform or conform - always at your own pace, in your own way.
I work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, stress, boundary issues, relationship difficulties, and perfectionism. Many are processing childhood trauma, struggling with emotional regulation, or concerned about coping strategies like alcohol, food, or overworking.
I also specialise in neurodivergent-affirming therapy for autistic, ADHD, and AuDHD adults.
I offer sessions in person from a welcoming space in Malvern or online via Zoom, most weekdays and early evenings.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
