Psychotherapy is the foundation of my work. I offer a thoughtful, non-shaming space to explore difficulties that may feel private, confusing or hard to discuss. We look at what is happening now alongside the experiences, relationships and emotional patterns that may be contributing to it.
My approach is integrative, drawing on psychodynamic, attachment-based, humanistic and behavioural ways of working. Following assessment, we agree an approach suited to your needs, which may involve focused work or longer-term psychotherapy.
In sex therapy and work with compulsive sexual behaviour, I aim to help you understand your patterns, consider their impact and develop meaningful changes. Compassion and personal responsibility both have a place in this work. With couples and partners, therapy can explore communication, intimacy, trust and the effects of sexual or relationship difficulties.
I am a UKCP-registered psychotherapist and COSRT-accredited psychosexual and relationship psychotherapist. I offer psychotherapy, psychosexual and relationship therapy, working predominantly with men and also with couples and partners.
People come to me with sexual difficulties, relationship problems, trauma or concerns about sexual behaviour that feels out of control. My specialist work includes erectile and ejaculation difficulties, low or mismatched desire, sexual confidence, problematic pornography use, affairs and the impact of betrayal.
I have specialised in sex addiction and compulsive sexual behaviour for 15 years. My master’s dissertation focused on this subject, and I hold a Level 5 Diploma in Sex Addiction and Compulsive Sexuality Counselling from ISAT. I previously managed the Addiction Treatment Programme at Priory Hospital North London, specialising in substance and behavioural addictions.
Alongside my clinical practice, I am a COSRT-accredited clinical supervisor, Chair of COSRT (the College of Sexual and Relationship Therapists), and Founder and Director of the Institute of Psychosexual Psychotherapy.
I offer sessions at Harley Street and High Holborn in London, and online.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
