My Approach

I am an Integrative Psychotherapist informed by contemporary theories of psychotherapy which include attachment research, philosophical ideas from relational and systems theory, as well as practical based understandings from fields such as interpersonal neurobiology and trauma theories.

My integrative approach means that I hold an open and accepting attitude to the struggles that bring people to therapy, understanding that change is complex- as is our histories of loss and the difficulties in relating to others and the world. I am an experienced and compassionate therapist and approach the work of change with respect and humility. I will help you in our work foster a more accepting and curious approach to your own life.

About Me

Before becoming a therapist I taught and worked with young people across London where I initially worked on raising awareness in young people about the interconnections of humanity and global issues.

I trained in London and established an in-house counselling service for an arts organisation after qualifying, and continue to work in student and university counselling working with academics, professional staff and students. I continue to offer training, consultancy and psychological aware support to many educational organisations in London.

In my private practice my specialist interests include working with issues of loss and adjustment for London’s diverse student and adult population, often following developmental or complex trauma, or after changes in life circumstances. I am interested in the challenges of cross cultural relationships and the role of compassion and communication between our own "parts"- that include our own history, our family, ancestors and between people in our daily life. I find therapy to often be a tremendously creative engagement and entanglement between parts of ourself. Meditation and other creative, embodied and artistic traditions also contribute to this end.

Training and qualifications
I trained at The Minster Centre, the leading Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling training institute in Europe where I was awarded an MA and Advanced Diploma in Integrative Psychotherapy and Counselling.
Diploma in Integrative Counselling (BACP accredited; validated by Middlesex University)
Foundation Certificate in Counselling Skills
PGCE (Citizenship Education and Humanities)
