My Approach

The Systemic Therapy approach offers opportunities for individuals, couples and family group to express and explore difficult thoughts and emotions. With the aim of helping people understand each other’s experiences and views, to appreciate each other’s needs. Its focus is on relationships between people and explores patterns of behaviour, which may have become set in unhelpful ways overtime.

This is offered face to face within a relaxed atmosphere in my home or online through several different platforms such as FaceTime and Zoom.

I engage in regular clinical supervision and continue to undertake personal and professional development to enhance my reflective working practices. Registered Member of UKCP and Association of Family Therapists.

About Me

My private practice, offers systemic psychotherapy (integrated with other theories), to individuals, couples and families. Also clinical supervision consultations to other qualified therapists and counselling students.

I have extensive experience of working with families and the complexities their lives might experience. Providing therapy for diverse families and children ages 0-19, including those with a variety of family types (foster, kinship, and biological), racial/ethnic identities, socio-economic backgrounds, trauma histories, and cognitive impairments.

For over 20 years, I worked for a children’s hospice, where I provide family therapy to families, clinical supervision to staff and psychological debriefing sessions to outside agencies such as the Social Services, NHS and Education Department.

I work closely with other statutory agencies social services, education and health professionals to achieve best practice for the child and family.
