My approach is collaborative, relational, reflective, and carefully paced. I focus on helping you understand how anxiety, emotions, and relationship patterns have developed, and how they continue to affect your life today.
Emotional safety and suitability are central to my work. Therapy is never rushed, and I place a strong emphasis on assessment — particularly when working with past experiences or considering approaches such as EMDR.
While earlier experiences can play a role in anxiety and relationship difficulties, my work is focused on supporting clients who are able to explore this in a contained, thoughtful way, at a pace that feels manageable and supportive.
If you’re feeling anxious, emotionally overwhelmed, or stuck in recurring relationship patterns, and you’d like to better understand what’s driving these experiences, we may be a good fit.
You might notice that worry, self-criticism, or tension in relationships keeps showing up, even when you try to manage it. Perhaps you’re reflective and self-aware, but still feel caught in patterns that are hard to shift on your own.
My way of working is particularly suited to people who want a thoughtful, structured space to explore what’s going on beneath the surface — and who feel ready to engage with therapy at a steady, contained pace.
If you’re looking to develop greater emotional regulation, insight, and more supportive ways of relating to yourself and others, my approach is likely to be a good match for you.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
