My training and experience is trauma-informed, and relational-developmental. I am an LGBTQI-affirmative therapist, and have experience of working with people from a range of cultural backgrounds and with neurodivergent processes.
I offer a space to explore what may have been kept in the dark. I believe emotional harm ought to be healed in relationship and so I offer an exploration of your relationships today, the relationships of your past and our relationship with each other.
I truly believe in the power of therapy to support positive change. I offer you my curiosity and attentiveness; I take seriously the bold step you’re taking.
As well as working privately, I have experience working at a victim support charity and two not-for-profit counselling and psychotherapy services.
Many things can get in the way of us living how we want to live. Unsatisfying relationships, traumatic memories, a lack of trust and hope, feeling uncomfortable in your own skin. These experiences and feelings can get in the way of your connection with others, your enjoyment of life and your self-esteem. Perhaps you want to know yourself better, feel more able to work through life’s challenges, and be open to others and life’s possibilities.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
