My therapeutic approach is integrative, combining creative methods like play and art with more traditional, talk-based techniques. I work in a client-led way, tailoring each session to meet the individual needs of the person I’m supporting. With a foundation in attachment theory, I place great importance on the role of early relationships in shaping emotional wellbeing and in building a strong, trusting therapeutic relationship. I take time to create a safe, welcoming space where clients feel comfortable exploring their thoughts, feelings, and concerns. I have significant experience supporting young people with ADHD, autism, OCD, health anxiety, generalised anxiety, and depression.
As a psychotherapeutic counsellor, I offer a safe, compassionate space for children and young adults to explore and make sense of their experiences. I am fully accredited and clinically registered with the UKCP (United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy) and am also a chartered developmental psychologist with the BPS (British Psychological Society). I have extensive experience supporting young people and their families through my past role as a special needs teacher as well as my more recent therapist roles working in charities and in schools. I have a PhD in Developmental Dyslexia from Cambridge University and have worked as a university lecturer in clinical psychology for 15 years.
