My Approach

I have a particular interest in working with experiences of anxiety, shame, low self-worth, isolation, relationship difficulties, anger, depression and life transitions. I also welcome clients who wish to explore spirituality, spiritual identity, psychic experiences or a sense that there may be something more calling for expression in their lives.

Psychosynthesis has its roots in psychoanalysis and pays attention to the unconscious, helping you to discover and learn about patterns, mindsets and beliefs that have developed in your life and which might be impacting on you or limiting your life experience in the now. Tools such as guided meditations and visualisations, subpersonality work, somatic work and drawing, are often incorporated into sessions to create a bridge to the unconscious and to deeper aspects of our being that may otherwise be uncontactable.

Psychosynthesis regards the problems and obstacles we encounter in our lives as meaningful and potentially transformative, and seeks to support the individual through their suffering whilst also guiding them on their personal journey towards uncovering what may emerge or evolve in response to their challenges. We cannot erase our history, but with the development of compassionate self-awareness, we can learn to work with it and embrace our own inherent, soulful and unique potential for transformative growth, creativity and self-expression.

Overall, Psychosynthesis is about relationship - coming back into relationship with yourself, with others and with your spiritual nature.

About Me

Hi, I'm Sarah and I am a fully qualified Psychosynthesis Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, having trained at the Institute of Psychosynthesis, London.

My aim is to offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe enough to bring your struggles, hopes, fears and the questions that matter most to you.

As a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, I combine traditional psychological understanding with an appreciation of spirituality, creating a supportive and holistic therapeutic space. Alongside understanding emotional wounds and patterns, I am interested in the deeper questions of who we are, what gives our lives meaning, and how we can live more authentically and in alignment with ourselves.
