My practice is informed by person-centred, attachment and transpersonal theory, and I believe that the quality of the therapeutic relationship has a significant impact on the therapeutic outcome. I adapt the support that I offer to individual clients needs, and offer creative and reflective counselling sessions, incorporating solution focused approaches into my work as required.
As an experienced child and adolescent therapist, I offer safe and non judgemental therapeutic support to children, adolescents, and young adults between the ages of 4 and 25. I am passionate about the work that I do and encourage young people in a non-judgemental and creative way to explore the difficulties that they are facing, working together towards positive change.
I have an MA in Child, Adolescent and Family Psychotherapy, a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Children in Schools, and a Diploma in Sandplay therapy. I am experienced at working in primary and secondary schools, agencies and in private practice. I am also qualified as a Level 6 Supervisor, supporting other therapists in their counselling work.
My practice is based in Central Winchester, a short walk from the train station. I offer in-person, face-to-face counselling sessions and online therapy sessions on Zoom. Depending on your needs and what you are looking for, I am able to offer either short or long-term support. I am also able to offer therapeutic support to parents and families.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
