Every person’s journey is unique, which is why I draw on a wide range of therapeutic methods:
• Body–Mind Psychotherapy & Movement Therapy – using the wisdom of the body to uncover and release patterns held beyond words.
• EMDR Therapy – an evidence-based method for processing traumatic memories and reducing their ongoing impact.
• Energy Psychotherapy – gentle techniques to shift unconscious blocks and support emotional balance.
• Zero Balancing & Yoga-Based Practice – body-oriented approaches that bring grounding, stability, and integration.
Together, these create a holistic approach that works with the whole of you - mind, body, emotions, and spirit.
What You Can Expect
Our work together begins with getting to know your story, your strengths, and your challenges. From there, we build a treatment plan tailored to you. Therapy sessions may include talking, movement, guided awareness, or EMDR processing - always at a pace that feels safe and manageable.
Clients often describe finding:
• A greater sense of calm and emotional regulation
• Relief from symptoms of trauma, anxiety, or stress
• Renewed confidence and self-compassion
• Stronger relationships and connection with others
• Increased energy, focus, and motivation
• The freedom to imagine and pursue a more fulfilling future
My Background
I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapy (ADMP UK), with further specialist training in:
• EMDR Therapy (Level 3 certification)
• Energy Psychotherapy
• ADHD Clinical Services and Autism Assessments (ADOS-2, ACIA)
• Kestenberg Movement Profiling (KMP)
• Creative Approaches to Supervision
Alongside my private practice, I have experience in education, clinical supervision, and international teaching. This breadth of expertise allows me to bring creativity, adaptability, and high standards of care to every client I work with.
Moving Forward
Seeking therapy is a courageous step, and I aim to make the process supportive, respectful, and empowering. Whether you are dealing with trauma, navigating the challenges of ADHD or autism, or coping with the impact of illness, therapy can provide a space to heal, grow, and reconnect with what matters most to you.
If you are interested in finding out more, I invite you to get in touch. Together, we can explore whether this approach feels right for you.
About Me
I am an experienced and compassionate psychotherapist, specialising in working with trauma and its many effects on the mind and body. My approach recognises that overwhelming life experiences do not just affect our thoughts and emotions - they are also stored in the body. Because of this, healing requires more than talking alone.
I integrate body-mind psychotherapy and movement-based methods with Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), energy psychotherapy techniques, yoga practices, and zero balancing. This means therapy is not a “one-size-fits-all” process; it is a tailored experience designed around your unique needs, life history, and goals. Many clients who come to me have tried other therapies before but found that they did not reach the deeper layers of their difficulties.
Who I Work With
I support adults and young people experiencing:
• Trauma and complex trauma (including dissociation, flashbacks, and intrusive memories)
• Anxiety, stress, and overwhelm
• ADHD and autism, including diagnostic assessment and therapeutic support
• ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder) and eating-related challenges
• Life-changing illness, including cancer and chronic health conditions
• Difficulties with attachment, relationships, self-esteem, or identity
I also work with foster carers, families, and young people in care, helping them navigate the impact of trauma and build stronger connections.
How Therapy Can Help
When you experience trauma or long-term stress, your body and mind adapt in order to cope. These adaptations often protect you in the moment but can later become obstacles. You may find yourself stuck in patterns of fear, hypervigilance, withdrawal, or self-criticism - long after the original threat has passed.
Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to explore these patterns and begin to release them. Through EMDR and body-mind approaches, we work together to:
• Reduce the emotional charge of traumatic memories
• Regulate anxiety and stress responses
• Strengthen resilience and coping strategies
• Reconnect with the body in safe and empowering ways
• Develop a stronger sense of self and agency
• Open up the possibility of living more fully in the present
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
