Educational Psychotherapy is a highly effective way of helping children and young people to learn. It combines teaching with a chance for children to explore and make sense of painful or traumatic experiences that might get in the way of learning and development. I work with children and young people from 4 to 18, in co-operation with their parents or carers.
I follow the child's interests and can work through play, art, reading, learning - or simply talking.
I am an Educational Psychotherapist working in the East Sussex and Kent areas. Before becoming a therapist, I was a teacher for over ten years.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
