My approach is Humanistic and Integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches and tailor the work to each person, their experiences and what they need from therapy.
I believe that a trusting relationship between therapist and client is at the heart of therapy. I aim to create a warm, safe and non-judgemental space where you can feel listened to and accepted, allowing you to explore difficult experiences at your own pace.
With children and young people, I work creatively and flexibly, using conversation, play, imagination and creative activities where appropriate. I am particularly interested in nervous system regulation and helping young people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, bodies and behaviour.
With adults, I am qualified in Internal Family Systems (IFS), which offers a compassionate way of understanding the different parts of ourselves and can help develop greater self-awareness, curiosity and self-compassion.
My background as a performer also influences my work, bringing an appreciation of creativity, expression and embodiment into the therapeutic space. I believe therapy should be collaborative and adapted to the individual, rather than being a one-size-fits-all approach.
I am an experienced Psychotherapeutic Counsellor working with children, young people and adults. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to explore your experiences, understand yourself more deeply and work towards meaningful change.
I have a particular interest in supporting children and young people experiencing anxiety, bereavement, parental separation, trauma, post-traumatic stress and depression. I am also interested in nervous system regulation and helping young people understand the connection between their thoughts, feelings, bodies and behaviour.
I have many years of experience working creatively with children and young people. My background as a performer has also shaped my therapeutic work, bringing an appreciation of creativity, expression and embodiment.
With adults, I am qualified in Internal Family Systems (IFS), supporting clients to develop greater self-understanding, self-compassion and connection with different parts of themselves.
I work from my practice near Bath, Somerset, offering face-to-face sessions for children and young people and face-to-face or online sessions for adults. I aim to make therapy feel accessible, collaborative and meaningful, and to create a space where you feel heard, understood and accepted.
Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience.
