I offer a boundaried and confidential space. I will listen and give you time to talk through, explore and reflect upon what is on your mind. We will think together to help you make sense of your experiences.
I work from a psychodynamic and relational perspective. Many of our behaviours, our patterns of relating and responses to life situations, have their origins in our childhood experiences. These can often shape and influence our relationships, our beliefs and lives in ways in which we may not be fully aware of and can lead us in directions that are not always helpful, nor satisfying and leave us feeling stuck.
I will support you to find your own way of moving forward to make positive changes and develop and deepen your resources to face the different encounters and challenges that life can at times present us with.
I am a qualified Group Analyst/Psychotherapist, Music Therapist (HCPC reg.) and supervisor.
I initially trained as a Music Therapist (HCPC reg.) and completed further training in psychodynamic supervision and as a Group Analytic Psychotherapist (UKCP reg.).
I have been working therapeutically with individuals and groups for over twenty years. This has been in a variety of settings and organisations including the NHS, hospices, higher education and voluntary sector. My experience has included providing reflective practice for staff teams and clinical supervision to arts therapists and counsellors.
I practice as an independent psychotherapist in central Cardiff.
